Your land. Your architect. Our hands.

Signature is the construction practice of U Kyaw Sein: houses built on a client's own land, to their architect's drawings or to ours, with the landscape, the joinery and the furniture carried through by the same family. We take on a small number of houses each year.

How a house is made

Slower than most. Every stage is looked at by the same eyes, and anything that does not look right is taken down and done again.

iThe landWe walk the site with you before anything is drawn. Trees are surveyed and kept; the garden is designed with the house, not after it.
iiThe drawingsWith your architect, or with Green + Partners Architects, our partners in London and Yangon. We translate the vision into rooms, proportions and materials.
iiiThe buildStructure, teak floors and ceilings, doors and windows, all fitted joinery. U Kyaw Sein oversees the site in person.
ivThe furnishingFurniture and cabinetry from Teak by Kyaw Sein, interiors led by Eindri Kyaw Sein, so the house is finished as one work.
vAfter the keysWe stay with a house. Teak moves with the seasons and we return to see to it.
